Am I the only one that feels that Hecox has lost it completely?

You may be. His last show was a major success and highly praised. His Blkmrkt prints are always awesome. It's his Arkitip prints that people are not that high on right now. The printing and the images on their site kind of take away a lot.

Agreed. Evan hasn't lost anything; he's an amazing and unique artist. The problem is that Arkitip is dropping his prints constantly with edition sizes twice what they were last year and higher prices to boot.

I don´t know, I think there has been some weak images lately and this one isn´t very good either.

Last print from Blk/Mrkt was a reproduction of the Mexico City image, I think he needs to put out some strong work again.

Sometimes the images are weaker then others. I could have done without the "Dead" slogan on the wall in the last print. However, Hecox's style is unique and really beautiful. And, yes, Arkitip could be making better prints like the BLK/MRKT ones, though, it's still really decent.

It would be nice if he departed from the cityscape deal and transfer some of the diverse styles he's done for Chocolate Skateboards to his prints.

Have to agree partially on that. It's got to the point now where the amount of prints which are one third image, two thirds sky is making it hard to differentiate between them. He seems to be far more experimental and focussed on achieving well produced unique itens when he works with others, his output on Arkitip is just above average in comparison of late.

That would be cool, it's kinda like Andy Howell's image styles he did for Schmitt Stix.

the camera prints he did for the urban abstract limited edition box were killer, as is he recent linocut print for foundation gallery. it'd be great to see him experimenting a little more, maybe he's just taken on too much, signed up for monthly release and doesn't give himself the space to consider the series as just that... don't get me wrong, evan's work for me is the very best but i'm at the point where i might bow out of the more recent prints to focus on his more infrequent pieces...

This board series is from the new Chocolate Skateboards catalog, I'm pretty sure this is his work since he does 99% of the work for that company:

from evan's blog on arktip:
http://intelligence.arkitip.com/author/evan/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Arkitip will be releasing some of my Fine Art works online today and in the future.
I will continue to create work for gallery exhibitions, but this will allow those interested a chance to purchase something at Arkitip if they cannot make it to the galleries.
